Animation Station

Workshop 45-60 minutes (approximately)
Suitable for stages P4 – S6 (adapted to pupil age)

Pupils will take the role of writer, director and animator to make their own short science film. They will use stop motion animation techniques to make their film using a selection of props and materials. In true film festival style the class can take part in a viewing using our large screen and can even keep a copy as the animations can be sent to a teacher’s email address.
Pupils will:
• Work in small groups to write and produce a short animation on a selected scientific topic.
• Learn about and create stop motion animations.
