Learn about forces and rocket design in this fun workshop - construct a rocket then launch it into the sky! Did it work? How high did it go?
Age 8 and over. Up to one hour, can run as a drop in session. Can be launched indoors or outdoors but needs a bit of space.
Hot Air Balloons
How does a hot air balloon get off the ground? Find out what happens to air molecules when they get warm. Make and fly your own hot air balloon.
Age 8 and over. 30 minutes, needs a high ceiling.
Sport Stations
Use our equipment to measure your lung capacity, blood oxygen, balance and strength. What qualities would you need to be a good sports person?
Age 8 and over. Drop in activity lasting approximately 30 minutes.
Bubbleology
The science of making bubbles! Especially suitable for under 10s. Build your own bubble-blower, and make big, long lasting bubbles!
Age 10 and under. Drop in, requires access to a sink.
Just Juggle
Practise your juggling skills and discover the science behind keeping three balls in the air.
Age 8 and over. 30 minutes, needs plenty of space.
Plane Crazy
Find out what keeps aeroplanes in the sky and then make the best paper plane in the world! Try different designs and see which one flies the highest and the furthest.
Age 8 and above, 30 minutes, needs lots of space for throwing planes and must be indoor if wet.
Snap Happy
How do cameras work? Come along to our workshop where you will make a picture viewer and your very own sunprint.
Age 8 and over. Maximum capacity 20, lasts 30 minutes, requires access to a sink.
DIY Detectrives
Use forensic techniques, fingerprinting and magnifying glasses, to solve an imaginary crime.
Age 8-12, 30 minutes.

Learn how to use intuitive software that will command your robot to complete challenges on the surface of Planet X. Perfect your problem solving skills to keep your robot out of danger.
Age 10 and up. 1 hour, capacity 12. Needs a room with at least 3 power sockets, desks for 6 laptops and floorspace for Planet X.
