Scotland has some of the best areas of dark sky in Europe which offer spectacular views of the stars and planets. Come along to our events to enjoy the night sky and find out how astronomers are delving ever deeper into the wonders of the Universe.

Our programme this winter is focusing on activities with community groups in central Scotland, helping them discover and enjoy the dark skies near where they live. The groups will be identifying the world's first Dark Sky Discovery sites, local places that are accessible, safe and great for stargazing! Keep an eye on this website to see how they are getting on.
Our partners in this programme are the Forestry Commission Scotland and the John Muir Award, with funding from Scottish Natural Heritage.
