• Using cutting edge equipment (Polymerase Chain Reaction and gel electrophoresis) pupils investigate and diagnose virus infections in our state-of-the-art laboratory. 

• Students are guided through the process of using the polymerase chain reaction and other molecular biology techniques. 

• Experts explain the theory behind the experiments and involve pupils in a discussion on the ethics of recent advances in DNA technology.
