Workshop (Approx 40 mins.)
Suitable for P4 – S2 pupils.

The challenge is to catch as many gold nuggets as possible.

Pupils will:

• Be encouraged to analyse problems, plan approaches, develop ideas and create and a
solution within a team.
• Work in small teams to retrofit devices and materials to a radio controlled car with the aim
of collecting as many “gold nuggets” as possible.
• Learn how the remote controlled cars use radio waves and gain knowledge and under
standing of how this and similar technologies are used in other areas.
